Founder, designer & builder — UK
Dan Andrews
A decade spent learning why people do what they do, and building software that answers for it — the kind that feels obvious in the hand. These days I design and build my own, front to back, through my studio: cyber:cyber.
Current focus
- cyber:cyber My studio. AI products, designed and built native.
- Granite A strength coach that rewrites your training every week. Native iOS, on-device.
-
Frame A training journal for jiu-jitsu. Native iOS, local-first.
-
Stealth A B2B product, under wraps for now.
Writing
- The velocity gods On how real speed in building comes from ruthless prioritization and clarity, not just working faster.
- Building cyber:cyber Reflections on starting a studio and why owning the full stack changes how products get made.
- Six Things Native AI Features Get Right What actually makes on-device, native AI feel different from bolted-on cloud features.
- Shipping got commoditised Why shipping fast has become table stakes, and what actually differentiates products now.

What I do
Most software is built by people who understand the machine or the person using it — rarely both. I work in the overlap: what makes people tick, and what makes a thing feel right in the hand. So I take the whole job — the research, the interface, and the code that ships it. Native, on-device, considered down to the corner radius.
When I'm not building my own, I help teams find the shape of theirs. I mentor designers, and teach the odd workshop.
